Mission Statement: our response to the gospel of God's love in Christ is to live out our discipleship in worship, fellowship, pastoral care and mission.

 Burghfield Common is a church with user-friendly premises located in the centre of the village possessing a good relationship with the local community, expressed through the use of the Hall for various activities each week, and the other churches in the area through  Churches Together in Burghfield, Sulhamstead & Mortimer.  The Church Family welcomes newcomers to Morning Worship on Sundays at 10.30am and to fellowship groups spiritual and social.

 Church Coffee Morning

 As an outreach into the community, on the third Thursday in each month from 10am to 11.30am there is a church coffee morning open to everyone, providing somewhere to meet and talk on a regular basis.  Contact: Maz Slater 0118 983 2869

Healing and Wholeness

On the first Tuesday of every other month, at 8pm in the church, a group meet, beginning with hymns, a Bible reading and exposition followed by prayers for people in need of healing in mind and body.

On the alternate months there is instead a Celtic Healing Service held by the Wellspring Healing Group.

Junior Church

Although chilren are present on a Sunday morning, and activities are planned throughout the year, at present there is no regular meeting of Junior Church.

Women's Fellowship

The Women's Fellowship. formed in 1930, meets weekly at 2:30pm on Tuesdays.

This is an ecumenical group of fifteen to twenty mature ladies, to which speakers of many denominations, and varied interests, are invited.  The usual format is hymns, prayers, talk. The afternoon ends with a cup of tea and a biscuit. Newcomers are very welcome.

The Sunrise Cottage Home Group

This Bible Study Group has been meeting for several years now in order to understand more of God's word and build up friendship and fellowship together.  They meet, usually on a weekly basis, during the school term, at 7.30pm on a Wednesday evening.

Many areas have been studied, one being a DVD followed by discussion on "The case for a Creator," by Lee Strobel, in six sessions.  Quite often there is further material for personal study in between each session.

Chapel Chicks

The "Chapel Chicks" gather once a month for the ladies night.  

A pleasant social evening is enjoyed with a good meal and plenty of chat!
