SHARING JESUS WITH THE COMMUNITY

Sharing together in fellowship, worship, study & prayer

A refurbished modern church with a friendly all age congregation. All are welcome to join whether for the occasional service or as permanent members. Both members and the wider community use the church facilities. We consider local outreach very important.

The church offers a wide variety of leaders ranging from ministers to local preachers. We also enjoy our 'Own Arrangement' services using our own worship leading team, which is steadily growing. There is something for everyone.

We aim to offer worship for all the family so the beginning of the service tends to be less formal and involves the children before they leave for junior church. The remainder of the service may vary in style, however there is always a thought provoking message to inspire us in our work with the Lord. We also have special family services on special occasions such as Mothering Sunday, Christmas Toy Service, Crib Service etc.

All who love the Lord are welcome to receive communion at our church. This takes place, approximately, once a month.

Mortimer Methodist Church is actively involved in Churches Together and Christians Together In Mission (CTiM), two local organisations where local churches from all denominations work together for the benefit of the local community. CTiM organised the Mortimer Fun Day in 2009 and 2010, and this year worked with Mortimer Village Partnership to organise another fantastic event.  The Mortimer Fun Day is a fabulous day out for approximately 3,000 local people and culminates in a multi denominational Service in a Marquee on Mortimer Fairground.  Thousands of Pounds are raised each year for Charity.
