Committed to sharing the love of God

Tadley Common Methodist Church is a small, friendly and welcoming community who are committed to sharing the love of God with those around us.

We are planning to join together with our neighbouring Anglican Church, St Mary's, in a new building which is to be called Christchurch. Unfortunately the current economical situation has meant that the whole project has had to be put on hold but it is our intention to go ahead with the project when economics and planning permit.

 Sunday Worship

Our regular Sunday Services are at 10.30 am and 6.30 pm. The style of the morning service varies widely, depending on the preacher, but is usually fairly traditional in content. The evening service is much more informal and can include discussions and meditations on the readings, and material from communities such as Iona or Taize. You are invited to join us for tea and coffee after both services. There is a small Junior Church at the morning service and for major festivals the worship is usually 'all age'.

Nurturing

As a community we are committed to learning more about our faith and we have a monthly Bible Study on the first Wednesday of the month.

We have a fellowship meeting on the third Tuesday of the month.

In the past we have had Alpha Courses and join in Ecumenical Lent Groups.

Monday Club is our after school Bible club at the local primary school, Burnham Copse Primary. Around 21 children come each week to hear a Bible story and have fun playing games and doing art and craft activities connected with the story.

 Community

In May of each year Tadley Youth Drama, a group of teenagers from all the local churches,  or none, produce a Christian Musical in the building.

Visit the TYD web site for more information.

As it is not possible at the moment to build a new church we are currently refurbishing our buildings to make them more accessable and user friendly for all members of the community.

Pantomime fun

Each year the Christchurch Players produce a Pantomime, the production of this involves up to 80 people of all ages and is very much a community event watched by audiences of Cubs, Brownies etc. and family groups. Last year Cinderella was performed.
