About Us

The Reading and Silchester Circuit lies at the extreme north-eastern corner of the Southampton District. Reading is the largest town in the Circuit. Several large suburbs are gathered round the periphery of the town - Caversham to the north, Woodley to the east, Lower Earley to the southeast and Tilehurst to the west.
To the south and west are the small village churches, Bradfield, Burnt Hill, and Silchester, and in Tadley, Mortimer and Burghfield Common those that serve larger and growing communities.
Many of the churches have strong ecumenical links locally, with local Churches Together groups as well as a link to Churches Together in Berkshire. The Circuit also has an active role in "Fourward" , a group which is made up of representatives from our circuit, together with the neighbouring Basingstoke and Kennet & Test Valley circuits.
