WHAT IS MESSY CHURCH? Messy Church is a way of doing church that’s as original, creative and messy as you. It’s 150 minutes jam packed with crafts, games, activities, songs, stories, worship, chatter, silliness, families, friends and of course a whole lot of mess. At Messy Church we create things together, we learn together and then we share a meal together. At Tadley Common we begin at 3.30 pm with a warm welcome and maybe a few games. Then everyone gets stuck in with craft (remember adults, you MUST be accompanied by a child for this bit) and if you’re not feeling particularly artistic then that’s OK too as there are other games and activities and a listening ear available all afternoon. After that everyone gets together for a short family service where singing, dancing and laughing out loud is greatly encouraged. Then dinner is served, sit down, tuck in and don’t worry about the washing up.
